School Bus Changes
Since we have returned to school in September, we have had some challenges with our school transport that we have been working with NEXUS to resolve. We are pleased that NEXUS have been supportive of the school in providing some additional capacity with additional buses. However, there have been particular issues with our 863 & 884 services. To resolve the issues the routes and timetables of these two services will change from Monday 12th October, copies of the new timetables and routes are now provided.
All students have been provided with face masks and it is compulsory that these are worn on all school buses and public service buses. Please can parents and carers support the school in reinforcing this message, that masks must be worn for the entirety of any journey, we have had many complaints from members of the public expressing concern that our students have not been wearing masks on the buses.
We are also now instructing students to sit in designated areas on each of the buses, illustrations attached show the areas where students need to sit on both single and double decker buses. Where possible students must keep to these areas to ensure as much as possible they are sitting with students from within their own year group and bubble that they reside in during the school day. The illustrations are a guide only as some buses may have a slightly different seating arrangement and students must follow the seating principal as closely as possible.
Next week school staff will be monitoring this as students leave school and reviewing the CCTV on all the buses to ensure students are adhering to the guidelines.
